    Hi there!

Daisy, I’m encouraged by your transparency on this forum. Very sound advice from many people on here. The Bible says to confess your sins to one another and you will be healed. Not to say that your desire for a spouse is a sin, but more so confessing a weakness in your life, that may give a foothold to the enemy. Continue sharing sister- to us, but ultimately to God.

Many of the responses have encouraged me, as I myself tend to get lonely at times. Not necessarily because I desire a spouse per se, but I live alone and work remotely 100%. It’s been tough since I moved where I currently reside right around the pandemic time. Things definitely made a huge shift.

One thing I can agree on with everyone’s comments is going to the Lord first. He has been teaching me this. Because when I do get married, I will need to do this as well. It may be more difficult, especially when children come in the picture too.

All that to say, Jesus is the answer for it all. He will never leave us nor forsake us. I’m an extroverted introvert. So although loneliness tries to creep in, I usually find contentment in doing something on my own. Although the desire for a spouse is there, it can not be my everything to fill the void of loneliness.

The Lord has showed me talents and skills I have, which has helped me on this journey. Getting involved in ministry, exercising, finding a new hobbie are all great ways to shift the focus off of being single. Also, being single in the times we are living in is not the worst thing…not having Christ is.

    God bless you all!
